A Fun Week in First Grade! by Brianna

Rock words are strong and interesting words.

Pebble words are weak and boring words.

We made really good rock words and put them in a jar. 

Career Day!

We get to dress up as what we want to be when we grow up and it was so fun!

I shared with the class that I want to be a gymnastics teacher when I grow up. I wore my leotard.

 I am working on my writing in my Writing Journal. 

This week we talked about community and community helpers.

Thursday was an exciting day! We had a police officer visit, his name was Officer Hendricks.

 He let some of the students try on his police officer gear. He brought jackets, belts, a safety vest, and his bulletproof vest.

We wrote the police officer cards to say thank you!

I learned lots of stuff from the police officer! One thing I learned from the police officer is not to talk to strangers. He said when someone talks to you that is a stranger you should yell, "YOU ARE NOT MY MOM OR DAD!"
